I’m So Jealous of Me comes from a song title I co-wrote on this CD about a man that sees his wife walk into a room, and when he notices how everyone is staring at her, he can’t help but think of how lucky he is. The song always makes me smile, and it is no doubt the perfect title for this project, but for a different reason. You see I am so very blessed, so very humbled to share this music with everyone, and the main reason being my entire family is playing and singing on this project.

This idea to do a CD began as a very small one, just some of my songs and me on my guitar. Then I made a simple suggestion of asking everyone in my family if they would play on one song, (I Love Me Some Elvis). I was humbled to see everyone agreed and they all showed up. The event turned into a family reunion of sorts, and where do you have a family reunion? Home, and for us that has always been a recording studio. That day forward Gordon informed me he would take on the project and work on it in his own studio, then Shelby readily offered to sing all the harmonies, and dad…well, he intended to play on ‘some’ of one song, and ended up playing on seven and singing on one!

I have to say thanks to mom and dad for never once ‘pushing’ us into music as a job, or a career. Because everyone knows you can’t make a living doing that, and that life would be crazy!

The bio section on this site will tell you plenty about my families history and contribution’s to the Music World, but what it will not tell you is how much I love them, and how much it means to me that we are ALL on one project together… now you know why, I’m So Jealous of Me. — Bryan
