A ‘White Elephant’ in Cowtown

Ft. Worth, Tx. aka ’Cowtown’.  If you have visited the famous stock yards then you know that amongst the cattle there, there is a famous ’White Elephant’.031101-200708
Last night I met my buddy double D (Deryl Dodd) to watch KHYI’s 5th annual Texas Music Showdown competiion.
It was great to see all three acts that performed, and  ongratulations to last nights winner, Casey James.
I also enjoyed hanging out with Brett Dillon from KHYI, Robert Gallagher from Billy Bobs, Larry Joe Taylor (www.larryjoetaylor.com)
Brad, John, Ox and Jason. (owner.. www.thewhiteelephantsaloon.com).  I had a great time  meeting all the people there. After the competition I got to share the stage with Deryl Dodd, Brad Hines, and Larry Joe Taylor. It was my first time to take the stage and play my music there… I hope it won’t be the last. I enjoyed seeing Ex- Ole Miss Football players in the crowd, and so many great people!  Thanks to Jason and everyone at  The White Elephant.

What football players were there? You can’t just tease us with this info?

And when will Chuck Wagon be back on the stage? Sure wish someone had filmed your performances at Oxford watering holes back in the mid 80s…

Chuck and the boys are out of the country.. I just don’t know if that is the ‘format’, or the United States?
I am kinda glad they didn’t film those shows!
